Miss Squeak Talks Furbaby BathTime!
Okay so it time to bath my furbaby .
Little Miss Mildred doesn't really like to be bathed but
I make her have one at least once a week and if I don't completely bath her I will wipe her over with a warm wet towel just to get her loose fur off of her and clip her toe nails too every few weeks. But my other furbabys in my pack are bathed once a week and groomed every six weeks as they have fur that grows very long and if not looked after and brushed regularly it get very mattered.
As we don't want this to happen and we live in a hot climate we keep them clipped for most of the year and yup I am the who get to groom most of them but not
Old Man River Sebastion he has to go to the furbaby doctors to be sedated and clipped as he gets very stress and tries to bite anyone that tries to clip his face and its is no a cheap execise at $170 bucks a clip every six weeks he has got other problems that also add up so his other nickname is Bling Bling as we could be covered in gold with the amount of money we have spend on him but he is worth every penny !
As you can see in the picture below all my furbabys like to be on the bed so its very important that they are all clean and smell nice. I am lucky to have all my furbabys in my life they all have very different likes and dislikes just like toddlers they are just full of excitement and joy most of the time and they all know their place in the pack and who they can cuddle up to and who they can't mainly Sebastion is off limits because he is the oldest and is going blind the little furbabys
Miss Mildred and Sir Odin want to play with him but the greats them with his teeth bared and a little grow just to let them know that he is out of bounds to them!
But if he is cold he will allow they to sleep next to him which is funny but maybe he might just start to like them in the long run I really do hope so.
Miss Mildred and I would love to hear any of your stories about your furbabys bath time adventures
just let us know in the comments below and thank you so very much for reading my blog about Miss Mildreds adventures in the big world !

Miss Squeak Talks Furbaby Body Language!
Today I thought I would talk about the body language of our furbabys so lets get started,
I’m certain you perceive how human intention and emotion work as a result of you experience them each yourself on a daily basis. But however are you able to tell what a furbabys emotions and intentions are?
Luckily, furbabys cannot hide either one from us. We are those who might not perceive how clearly the dog is communicating. For a dog, feeling is displayed through body language, whereas intention is displayed through motion.
When a furbaby isn't in a calm state, it solely has 3 instinctual movements: fight, flight, or rejection. In fight mode, the dog moves forward, and in flight mode it runs away. A dog might or might not move away in rejection, however it'll do everything else to not face the situation at hand.
Fight, flight, and rejection are the standard terms that animal behaviorists use, however they could be somewhat deceptive as a result of the connotations they have. In a different way to consider them is as advance, retreat, and ignore.
An excited furbaby and an aggressive furbaby might both move forward toward an individual or different animal, however one of them is playful and therefore the alternative one is threatening. Likewise, a furbaby might run away in concern or it's going to run away to begin a game of chase with another furbaby.
This is wherever the furbaby’s emotion comes into it and combines with the dog’s intention to form the dog’s overall energy and, as I discussed above, dogs categorical their emotions through body language.
Every a part of the furbaby is engaged, however the necessary ones to look at are the head, ears, tail, and back. The higher a furbaby’s head, ears, and tail are, the more dominant it's feeling, and therefore the lower they are, the more submissive or unsure the furbaby is feeling.
Another issue to look at for is tension, significantly within the dog’s back and legs. The more tense a dog is, the higher its energy level, sort of a spring being force taut. In each cases, they reach a degree where they snap — the spring shoots back to its regular size, and therefore the dog lunges forward.
A good example of a “fight” intention changed by body language to form positive energy is once a dog does a play bow to interact another dog. The motion is forward, however the front of the furbaby’s body is low to the bottom. The intention is excitement however the feeling is friendly, that the energy is playful.
Here’s an opposite example: a furbaby might have its head, ears, and tail all raised. maybe it’s showing its teeth, and perhaps the hackles on its back are up similarly, but it's slowly backing away. The body language is showing aggression, however the intent is flight. Despite the aggressive show, this is often a dog that's scared of something.
It can be simple to misinterpret a furbaby’s energy if we don’t think about each both and intention. Some dogs express extreme submission by pulling their lips back to point out their teeth. Now, lots of individuals would see the dog’s teeth and assume that it’s on the brink of attack, but they’re missing the remainder of what the dog is saying.
If a dog shows its teeth but they’re together, the ears are force back along the head, the eyes are squinting, the dog lowers its body and leans away, then the dog is really retreating submissively and practicing rejection. Likewise, a dog might come back charging at you, however if its body is relaxed, its tail is level and wagging, and there’s no tension within the body, then it's showing excitement.
Furbabys can’t tell us in words what they’re thinking and feeling because they don’t have to. They’re expressing themselves constantly through motion and body language — intention times emotion equals energy. Once we learn the way to know these, a full world of communication with our dogs opens up.
Stay calm, and listen to your furbaby!

Miss Squeaks How To Make Your Furbaby Laugh!
Hello everyone hope you are all well and happy, Miss Mildred and I have been having lots of fun this week as I have been playing with her lots this week while teaching her some new tricks but while I was playing with her i thought she was laughing so I started to do some research on the matter and found a very cool article and the said subject hence this little blog on show to make your dog laugh and as I am a little weird and silly I have given it a go and yes it works very well ! I found getting into the puppy play bow on all fours with my butt in the air with the breathing pattern worked a treat with my little Miss Mildred I also am going t talk bait about dreaming and furbaby smiles so let stet started !
Here are a few things I think about !
As your furbaby slumbers by your side, and starts to twitch and wiggle is she dreaming of you? Will she feel guilty concerning stealing your cut of meat off the kitchen counter and ingestion it for dinner? What is she trying to mention with that annoying bark? Does she like looking at the TV?
After decades of analysis, neuroscientists have begun to answer such queries, giving us access to the once-secret inner lives of our furbaby companions and even translating their barks and wags so mere humans can comprehend them.
At the forefront of this effort is Stanley Coren, a behaviourist from the University of British Columbia, who draws on decades of research to explore the psychological motivations behind dogs’ everyday behaviours, additionally as what science says concerning their barks, thoughts, and dreams.
Do Dogs Experience identical Emotions as People?
Dogs have identical brain structures that manufacture emotions in humans. they have identical hormones and endure identical chemical changes that humans do throughout emotional states. Dogs even have the hormone oxytocin, that in humans is attached love and feeling. thus it looks reasonable to counsel that dogs even have emotions kind of like ours. However, it's necessary to not go overboard: The mind of a dog is roughly similar to that of a person's who is two to 2½ years old. A toddler that age clearly has emotions, however not all potential emotions, since several emerge later within the path to adulthood.
Dogs undergo their biological process stages rather more quickly than humans do, attaining their full emotional vary by the time they're four to six months recent. very similar to a person's youngster, a dog has the basic emotions: joy, fear, anger, disgust, excitement, happiness, distress, and even love. A dog doesn't have, and can not develop, a lot of complicated emotions, like guilt, pride, contempt, and shame, however.
You might argue that your dog has shown proof of feeling guilt. in the usual scenario, you come home and your dog starts slinking around and showing discomfort, and you then notice his smelly brown deposit on your bedroom floor. It's natural to conclude that the dog’s actions show a sense of guilt concerning its transgression. However, this can be merely the more basic feeling of worry. The dog has learned that when you appear and his faeces are visible on the ground, bad things happen to him. What you see is that the dog’s worry of punishment; he can never feel guilt. He will never feel shame, thus feel free to decorate him in that ridiculous party costume.
For example, a dreaming pointer could instantly begin looking for game, a sleeping spaniel could flush an imaginary bird, and a dreaming Doberman pinscher could pick a fight with a dream thief.
It is an odd undeniable fact that little dogs have additional dreams than massive dogs do. A dog as little as a poodle could dream once each ten minutes, whereas an outsized dog like a working dog or a great Dane may have regarding about hour between dreams. On the opposite hand, the large dog’s dreams last longer
Do Dogs Smile?
In the minds of the general public, the equivalent of a dog’s smiling is when he's wagging his tail. However there's truly one canine facial expression that comes near what we tend to mean by smiling in humans. During this expression, slightly opened jaws reveal the dog’s tongue covering out over his front teeth. frequently the eyes take on a teardrop form at the same time, as if being force upward slightly at the outer corners. it's an informal expression that's typically seen once the dog is relaxed, playing, or interacting socially, particularly with folks. the instant any anxiety or stress is introduced, the dog’s mouth closes and you can not see the tongue.
Dogs also are capable of laughing, and they generally do thus once they are playing. Canine laughter begins with the Furbabys equivalent of smiling but additionally includes a sound that's very similar to panting. Several years ago, animal behaviorist Patricia Simonet at Sierra nevada school by lake tahoe recorded those sounds while dogs played. On analyzing the recordings, she found that they involved a broader range of frequencies than does regular dog panting. In one experiment, Simonet noticed that puppies romped for joy when they heard recordings of those sounds; in another, she was ready to show that these same sounds helped to calm dogs in an animal shelter.
How To Make Your Dog Laugh
Humans will imitate sounds of dog laughter, however it takes conscious watching of mouth shape to induce the sound pattern right. manufacturing dog laughter properly, says Coren, can create your dog sit up, wag his tail, approach you from across the space, and even laugh along.
Round your lips slightly to form a “hhuh” sound. Note: The sound has got to be breathy with no actual voicing, that means that if you touch your throat whereas creating this sound, you should not feel any vibration.
Use an open-mouthed smiling expression to form a “hhah” sound. Again, breathe the sound; don't voice it.
Combine steps one and two to form canine laughter. It ought to sound like “hhuh-hhah-hhuh-hhah.”

Miss Squeak Talks Older Furbabys !
Okay I thought I would talk a little more about our older furbabys. As I have a few older furbabys in my care along with my sweet little chihuahua Miss Mildred. So lets get started.
If you have got furbabys, you may note that they age lots faster than we tend to do. The lifetime of your dog depends on its size and breed. Larger dogs have a period of time of between 9 and fourteen years whereas the smaller dog will live up to sixteen years or more. However, big breeds of dog seldom experience ten years. So, determinant your dog’s senior years depends upon its breed. A dog is taken into account a senior throughout the last 25 percent of its life. usually speaking, a large breed of dog is considered a senior at about age six, different giant breeds enter their senior years around seven or eight whereas alittle breed like your Chihuahua might not be thought of a senior till about age ten or eleven. Work closely along with your local Furbaby doctor to grasp once your dog is of the senior years and also the special care it desires.
Having a senior dog requires special care as their bodies change even as ours do. As a result, your dog’s activity level can decrease while the inner body will reply to food and drugs differently than it did as a young dog. Medication ought to never be given without vet recommendation, and the way your dog responds to medication will be considerably completely different. A senior dogs system is additinally delicate and will reply to medication with puking, depression, lethargy, weight gain, weight loss, and excessive thirst. If you dog is responding negatively to medication, stop giving it to your dog and contact your furbaby doctor.
A common concern with the senior dog is in their diet. as a result of aches and pains they'll be experiencing, your dog is consumption an equivalent however moving around much less, which might cause weight gain. and also the other hand, if your dog is losing weight, there could also be a medical or dental issue that ought to be self-addressed. typically when on certain medications your dog might have a loss of craving. These considerations ought to be stated to your furbaby doctor and he might inflict putting your dog on a special diet.
Tooth and gum illness are terribly rife in dogs if you do not continue with oral hygiene. you ought to be brushing your dog’s teeth daily or a minimum of a few of times per week. Oral unwellness causes extreme unhealthy breath within the senior dog. If the smell is outstandingly foul, your dog is puking and has no craving, this will indicate disease. a really sweet or fruity breath at the side of excessive drinking and urinating might indicate a diabetic condition.
If your senior pup seems to be restless during sleep, perhaps you would like to produce a replacement orthopedic bed for a lot of comfort. Also, senior dogs have to be compelled to relieve themselves more usually, preventing them from obtaining a decent night’s sleep. However, if your dog seems to nap a lot of throughout the day, it should simply be out of boredom. Of course, if your dog is on any kind of medication, that would be making him drowsy. there's a condition that affects dogs referred to as canine cognitive dysfunction or CCD, that is comparable to humans with Alzheimer’s. This condition, which i'll discuss in a later blog will have an effect on your dogs sleep patterns.
As a dog ages, their sight begins to fail and that they could seem to stumble upon things. attempt to not change things within the home as a dog over the years memorizes where everything is and is less probably to have accidents running into furnishings. make certain to block off stairs so thus your dog doesn’t fall. really another common drawback you will experience is once you call your dog with no response due to the onset of hearing disorder. we tend to all apprehend that some dogs even as youngsters do have selective hearing however you'll be able to tell if your older dog isn't hearing you.
Many senior dogs expertise inflammatory disease which can be another excuse you get no response once calling. it's tough to maneuver without pain in an unhealthy condition. as a result of your dog may have visual or hearing issues, it may not be unusual for him or her to bite off the hand that feeds it. The aging method is causing a lot more stress on the dog and it for certain doesn’t mean to harm you, the pet parent, however fast surprises and quick movements might scare your dog. A natural response to fear is aggression. If you have got youngsters, they have to understand their limitations, such as, don't disturb a dog once sleeping, eating, while in its special bed or crate and if it feels trapped. just as humans, the senior dog will become slightly cranky throughout its tender years. this could be a concern as well if you have got a replacement puppy and it should be necessary to observe the dogs when together or keep them apart if you're not available to look at them. clearly a replacement puppy needs to play all the time and therefore the recent gal or guy doesn't. The puppy might not get the message and end up getting hurt.
As a dog ages they start to have accidents within the home and this will become a true drawback. it should flow from to a weak bladder, failing kidneys or an inflamed bowel. It may even be the results of CCD in your dog. typically there's a problem with constipation in your dog attributable to diet. refer to your vet concerning the correct diet for your dog and refrain from table scraps. The older dog’s system cannot handle various things in their bodies any more. Also, even as you do with a brand new puppy, you most likely got to take your older dog outside additional typically. If your dog is hesitant to travel outside, and has problem relieving itself, it may be attributable to inflammatory disease and alternative pain affecting your dog. an older dog typically cannot and doesn't wish to deal with weather modification either. Of course, if there's a decrease in vision and hearing, that can be a reason your dog is afraid to travel outside. If your dog is frightened, use a leash to make your dog feel safe outside knowing that you simply are right there beside it.
Always sit down with your furbaby doctor as there are always ways to create your pet feel more safe and cozy throughout the senior years of his life. they need a way to convey us the best years of their lives and you wish to try and do an equivalent for your best canine companion and furbaby friend.

Miss Squeaks Truth About Chihuahuas !
I love my little Miss Mildred so I thought why not do a blog on her breed so here we go.
The facts regarding Chihuahuas are each attention-grabbing and stunning, as this little breed has won over the hearts of millions round the world - one look and it's not hard to visualise why! Loyal, loveable and utterly mini, the Chihuahua is a perfect pet for the correct owner, and might bring endless joy to the lives of these around them. From puppy to adult dog, there are such a lot of facts to understand regarding Chihuahuas that you {just} might not notice just by appearances. as luck would have it because the spoken language goes, each dog has his day, and in that spirit, here are some marvellous facts regarding Chihuahuas that may soon have you adoring them the maximum amount as we tend to do! That is, of course, if you don’t already
SMALL IN SIZE,
Massive In Temperament
Appearances is deceiving - actually true in life, and positively true of this little dog, whose miniature size is not any match for his or her massive personalities! filled with character, charm and distinct individuality, the reality regarding this breed is that whereas they will return up short on inches and pounds, they're not to be underestimated. In fact, most Chihuahuas more than make up for his or her little size with their confident, inquisitive, brave and daring attitudes, proving that good things undoubtedly are available little packages!
A HEARTY BREED
One of the foremost positive facts regarding Chihuahuas, particularly if you're considering them as a possible pet, is however hearty of a breed they are. With a life span starting from 13 to fifteen years, generally even longer, and really few health issues, the common Chihuahua is that the image of vitality - sturdy, lively, and filled with life. Advantageous on several levels, from the perspective of low veterinarian prices and having the ability to boost a cheerful, energetic dog, choosing a hearty breed can even be a decent influence on your own health, fostering emotional well-being and promoting an active lifestyle.
FIERCELY LOYAL
An integral element of their character, one of the foremost important things to grasp concerning Chihuahuas is however incredibly loyal and devoted they are, usually attaching to the person or family that owns them with an intense and deep bond. while this quality is both lovely and appealing in a pet, Chihuahuas are often jealous with your affections and attention, and are famous to behave sharply if they feel their association or position being vulnerable. For that reason, Chihuahuas do very well in households where their loyalties are often channelled positively: in homes where they're the sole pet (the “King” or “Queen”, you might possibly say), living with different dogs within the same breed, or brought in to families where one owner will dedicate themselves to fostering that special, individual association. It appears to me that we have a tendency to we all use such loyalty in our lives...
EXCELLENT COMPANIONS
With such tiny stature (perfect for cuddling!), such dynamic, devoted personalities, and such robust, systematically healthiness, it's seemingly no surprise that this breed of dog build wonderful companions for his or her house owners - so, for several folks, the camaraderie is the most appealing fact concerning Chihuahuas. usually mentioned affectionately as “mini shadows,” these sweet dogs are true pack animals, and as such, they love being a part of the “pack,” involved within the action around them, giving and receiving great affection, and curiously looking at your are move. In fact, Chihuahuas are famous to be less freelance dogs, preferring by far to be within the company of their house owners, or other Chihuahuas, to being alone, and have terribly high social desires in terms of partaking and interacting with others. during this respect, Chihuahuas are wonderful companions to people who have countless love and a focus to administer.
LOW-MAINTENANCE PHYSICALLY
One of the foremost advantageous facts regarding Chihuahuas, like numerous little or toy breeds, is that these varieties of dogs are usually low-maintenance physically. nice for urban settings, they like consistent walks to long runs, dine in moderate to little amounts, need little or no grooming, and have few joint or muscle issues, even in older age. the most concerns physically for a Chihuahua involve the consequences of their little size: a sensitivity to colder climates, the lack to manoeuvre through or over giant obstacles, particularly in maturity, and the need for a harness rather than a typical leash for walking, as you'll simply injury their little, delicate necks with an average collar.
HIGHLY INTELLIGENT
Clever, curious and strong-minded, the reality regarding this breed is that they're a awfully good dog. whether or not being trained in something new, figuring out their environment, or enjoying play #time, the actual fact regarding Chihuahuas is that with such high intelligence, they're unbelievably eager to combat a range of challenges and like to be engaged mentally. with that in mind, it’s necessary to grasp that Chihuahuas don't react well once they are bored and need a moderate to high level of interaction with their homeowners - during this case, you'll you can teach associate previous dog new tricks!
A HOLLYWOOD favourite
With numerous appealing qualities and such a self-confident manner, it's no marvel that Hollywood has fallen gaga with Chihuahuas, and this romance dates back much further than the times of Paris Hilton and Reese Witherspoon. potentially the foremost glamourous of all the facts regarding Chihuahuas, this breed had one in every of their initial Hollywood admirers in are, who magnificently acquired her pet Chihuahua, Josepha, when signing with Columbia pictures in 1948. quite sixty years later Chihuahuas are being featured in movies, tv commercials, and still idolized because the pets of the many international celebrities.
