So i was thing lets talk about teaching our furbabys to do some sweet little tricks and a few came timing as I do train Miss Mildred to do tricks and it was very easy as the Chihuahua breed is very smart and they want to please. So after I give some more information on theChihuahua breed we will get started wth the few easy tricks I get 

Miss Mildred to do daily as our furbabys are small fragile and ever so tiny its hard to keep treat training as they can put on weight haha and I say this as Miss Mildred put weight on while i was training her but now a kiss and a cuddle makes her just as happy !

The Chihuahua is a terribly intelligent dog; as a matter of truth this breed has the biggest brain in comparison to body size out of all of the dog breeds within the world. therefore whether or not your Chihuahua may be a puppy or an older dog, you'll be able to definitely teach your dog some cute tricks. I have put a lot of training into my sweet little Chihuahua and I am so happy she was so eager to learn we alway practice the shake before she is allowed her dinner so now she sits waiting for her command shake or paw so she can have her dinner. Its really cute and lots of fun too.

Lets Talk Chihuahua Temperament What's Good What's Bad.

Chihuahuas are comical, entertaining, and loyal little dogs, absolutely brimming with personality – often a quirky and eccentric personality unmatched by any other breed.

 Chihuahua shed! Because they're so small, their shedding is not usually a big issue for people, but I did want to make you aware that Chihuahuas shed! since many potential owners have been misinformed that Chihuahuas are "hypoallergenic" or "light shedding." This is not true at all. If you come to my house on any day of the week, you will leave with tan and white hairs on your clothes....Tan and White hairs that belong to my Chihuahua, Miss Mildred . Once again, Chihuahuas shed!

    Now, how much they shed depends on

            what kind of coat they have.

Chihuahuas, you see, come in four coats

Short coat, double. This is a short outer coat, plus a woolly undercoat for insulation. Because of the two layers, this coat sheds more than.

Short coat, single. With no undercoat, this coat looks and feels sleek and sheds less than a double coat.

Long coat, double. Long outer coat, plus wooly undercoat. This coat needs the most brushing and combing, takes more blow-drying after a bath, and sheds a good deal. Some of these dogs are so bushy they resemble Pomeranians.

Long coat, single. This "long" coat is typically shortish on the body, with feathering restricted to the ears, backs of the legs, stomach, hindquarters, and tail. A single longboat is much easier to groom than a double longcoat, and sheds less than a double coat of either length.

Miss Squeak Talks Separation Anxiety In Furbabys.

 Hi everyone, I thought we might talk a little

about Separation Anxiety in Furbabys. 

Today as I am off on a holiday to Bali and I feel 

I might be the one with the anxiety when it comes to leaving my little Miss Mildred gee is it really this hard I haven't even left yet and

 I am all ready starting to think will she miss me? Will my family look after her the way I do? 

I know no harm will come to her yet I am still worried about leaving her! Maybe because I have sick over the last few weeks and I have had her as a constant companion when I have been unwell she even stopped eating when I was unable to 

get out of bed  she was like my little furry nurse always at my side. Now I am able to move around a lot more now and I have started to feel better.

But I now fear she might have a little separation anxiety as she has shown just a few slight signs of anxiety like when I have a shower she might scratch at the door but that might be normal as she is used to being with me. But apart from that she is okay with being on her own when I go out shopping or to the doctors she is happy to play outside by herself. The issue I am concerned about  is while I am way is she going to be able to cope without me? I hope she is fine and there are no problems while I am away. Like is she going to regress and start weeing in the house or is she going to start barking or is she going to be naughty and keep everyone at home awake at night? These are the question that are racing around my head at the moment. I guess only time will tell I am lucky that Miss Mildred is staying in her own home with people that she already knows and with her furbaby sisters to play with, its me whom has the main issue with anxiety regarding leaving my little furbaby at home. Now thats enough about me and Miss Mildred lets talk about some signs of Separationn Anxiety in Furbabys !

Separation anxiety is a behavioural disorder 

that's all too common in Chihuahuas. You 

finally get home from a long day at work only 

to discover that your beloved Chihuahua 

has Ransacked the house. 

Maybe there's pillow or

bed stuffing strewn across the floor, garbage 

pulled out of the trash, or even a pile of poop 

in the middle of your living room. They don't 

act like this when you or other members of 

your family are home, so why do they behave 

this way when they're left alone?

Chihuahuas suffering from separation anxiety 

act out when they're left alone.Whether you 

are going to work for the day, or just running

 up to the gas station for a couple of minutes, 

leaving them alone triggers behaviour that's 

that's considered "out of the norm." Your 

Chihuahua might be the perfect angel when 

they're sitting in your lap, but all of their 

manners and training go right out the door

 once you leave their side..

Signs of Separation Anxiety In 

Chihuahuas

1.Claws at the carpet when you shut the 

bathroom or bedroom door behind them!

2. Follows you around throughout the house.

3. Constantly jumps and whines 

for you to pick them up.

4.Tears up linens, pillows, sheets, clothes,etc. 

when left alone.

5. Defecates or urinates inside the house 

when left alone.

6. Acts overly excited when you come home.

7. Barks, whines or howls when left alone.

What Causes Separation Anxiety In Chihuahuas?

There are many various factors which can contribute to a Chihuahua's separation anxiety, the foremost influential  being a change in family. Chihuahuas, like all dogs, are social animals that are extremely loyal to their family. Taking them out of their current surroundings and thrusting them into a home with a totally new family is guaranteed to produce some kind of emotional distress, as well as separation anxiety. Miss Squeak Talks Lets Dress Up Your Furbaby.

 

So today I thought it would be fun to talk about dressing up our furbabys and a few reasons why to do it, I love to dress        Miss Mildred up in her cute sun dresses with matching collars she sits and waits for her outfit everyday its just adorable and it fun for us , I have been dressing Miss Mildred since she was brought home . She was so small and fragile so I had to keep her warm I hope my ideas help you out with dressing your furbaby and bring you both closer together!

It is never too early to begin coming up with for next year’s greeting card, particularly if you’re in matching outfits - that simply screams greeting card. Or at least a framed image for your table. 

You Can Get Matching Outfits.

This goes hand-in-hand together with your pet desperate to do what you are doing. Not solely can your pet get to dress up, you’ll be matching! It doesn’t get far better than that.

You Can Support Your Favorite Sports And Team Even More.

Sports fanatics rejoice! Nowadays there is more then one way to show your love to your favourite team. Its certain they need a mascot and maybe already have one, however you recognise your pet is cuter anyway. Miss Mildred has her West Coast Eagles jumper she wears with pride. And her AFL football team made it to the grand final and we know its because she wore her jumper every time they played hahaha.

Wacky Holidays Are Often a Bonding Experience.

Even one thing as silly as spending every day dressing up your pet is time spent together, and your pet relishes it.

Worst comes To Worst, The New Outfit Will Make A Decent Chew Toy.

I love to dress Miss Mildred in all kinds of outfits to suit her mood and to protect her for the elements hence shoes and a cute sundress to keep the sun off her fragile skin and ugg boots with warm woolies of winter weather!

What Pet Wouldn’t Wish To Be the Center of Attention?

Is there anything pets love more than being the center of attention? No? So Dress your Furbaby up and he or she is certain to receive a lot of attention from anyone he or she comes across.

You Wear Garments, Your Furbaby Needs To Wear Them Too.

Does your pet wish to follow you around? Sit on the couch when you sit on the couch? Go outside once he sees you heading to the door? If the solution is affirmative, it's safe to mention that something you are doing, your pet will wish to try and do similarly. We think that includes dressing up. I love to dress up my furbaby Miss Mildred not only because she look cute and pretty but because it helps her to stay warm as she is a chihuahua she can become cold very easily so most of the time she will have a cute little play dress on , but when its cold and raining outside I will put on her warm coat that has legs to keep her warm all over then as she doesn't like to get her little feet wet I put ugg boot on her so she can run around and not get wet at all and it helps to keep my house dirt and sand free .

Miss Squeak Talks Dog Exercise Tips

 

                      

Yes, it’s cold outside, and the number of daylight hours is short, but your dog does not hibernate, and it’s important that your dog get daily exercise. On those days when bad weather makes walks impractical, you can still give your pup the exercise she needs with these six ideas for great winter exercise.

1. Play a game with your dog.

Hide-and-seek is a wonderful way to get your dog up and moving and mentally engaged. You can hide a treat or her favorite toy, but it’s better to make her come find you. Start by throwing a treat to get her to go away from you, and then hide in another part of the house. This game can really tire your pup out as she rushes around searching, and it’s good for reinforcing the “come” command.

2. Challenge your dog’s nose.

Dogs have incredibly powerful scenting abilities, so exercises that require your pal to use her nose are especially stimulating. Make her work for her dinner by creating an obstacle course she has to get through to find her food. Hide her meal in a box, or, better yet, put it in a Kong Wobbler or a Buster Ball.

3. Dog treadmills and indoor walking.

There are treadmills on the market designed specifically for dogs. But if you cannot afford one of these, use a human treadmill—but take the right precautions. Spend a few days familiarizing your dog with how it works. Use a slow speed and stand in front of the treadmill with a treat. Over three or four days, slowly increase the speed and the amount of time your pup spends on the treadmill. Work up to the same amount of time you normally spend on walks.

4. Sign your dog up for a class.

Sign up for an indoor agility or swimming class. Flyball provides good exercise, and a class comes with the added benefits of allowing your dog to socialize and boosting her mental agility by learning something new. Also, many cities have facilities with doggie swimming pools.

5. Practice targeting.

Being indoors gives you a great opportunity to practice targeting with your dog. Teach her to touch her nose to the back of your hand on command; this will make her focus on a target. It’s a great exercise because it gives you an activity you can do together. And once your pup has learned how to do this, you can use it whenever you want her to stop what she’s doing and focus. For example, if you’re out walking and she becomes excited when she sees another dog, you can use targeting to redirect her attention. Plus, your dog can’t bark when she’s touching her nose to your hand!

6. Don’t be a wimp…get outdoors!

Most bigger dogs love snow, and they can get a great workout by plowing through it. Spend 30 to 40 minutes in the snow, and your dog will get a workout that leaves her exhausted—and her muscles toned. When you come in, be sure to wash your dog’s paws to clean off any salt.
